I’ve been an art lover my entire life. In college, I was only a class or two away from an Art History minor. I also distinctly remember begging my parents for an Andy Warhol tote bag from Urban Outfitters when I was about 10 years old.
I still have it.
Nine times out of ten I find artwork for my home at little galleries I stumble upon when I travel. I believe that art is strongly tied to a person’s experiences, and I love being transported back to my favorite moments when I look at a specific piece. Paintings from San Jose, Columbus, OH, New York City [above], Las Vegas, Paris, and more decorate my walls.
There’s also one piece painted by an elephant but that’s a story for another day.
Recently, I started looking for a large-scale piece to anchor a gallery wall I’m working on in our foyer. After striking out at all of my usual haunts, I was thrilled to discover Oak + Robin! This new art website offers framed artwork in all sizes at an affordable price point.
The framing aspect is huge as a shopper. Typically, if you do find a piece of art you love that you want to have framed, you’ll have to pay hundreds of dollars more.
The first piece I chose from Oak + Robin [above and below] is entitled “Drip,” and my Abstract Expressionism-loving heart couldn’t be happier with my decision. The frame is high-quality with a real glass panel — no plexiglass here.
Our home was built in 1872, so I’m always on the lookout for artwork that can infuse modern design into a very traditional space. Oak + Robin is especially ideal for historic homeowners because the brand offers both abstract and vintage styles.
All of my gallery walls are constant works in progress, so this definitely isn’t the final product. I’ll be adding new pieces as I find them.
For now, though, I am thrilled with how my Oak + Robin art offers the perfect color palette to build around.

All of Oak + Robin’s artwork is printed on archival paper that will stand the test of time. The brand even offers curated gallery wall collections that help homeowners take the guesswork out of selecting their own pieces.
With prices ranging from about $45 to about $400, Oak + Robin is truly accessible to everyone.
The official description of the brand reads:
Transforming your house into a home isn’t just about adding your new favorite furniture piece, it’s mainly about the things that makes you, you. Your favorite reading nook, your cozy fireplace, or your open shelf kitchen. We curate classic and timeless pieces that are still contemporary to give your house the look and feel of your personality.
I encourage you to take a look at the entire Oak + Robin collection (new styles are added often) to find art that speaks to you. The brand offers a refreshingly affordable take on timeless artwork, so you really can’t go wrong!
