Some of you may know that in addition to my passion for travel and speakeasies, I’m a massive Disney fan — the Parks, the movies, Aulani, the whole nine yards.
I was a “Disney kid” growing up and I never let go of the magic.
Recently, I started sharing Disney content on Instagram again, and I’m glad I did. Not only has it reminded me of how passionate and supportive the Disney community can be, but it’s been so much fun to once again share Disney bounds, Disney Parks photos, and how to create Disney magic at home no matter where you live.
Since Disney on Ice recently released tour dates into April 2024 — and a brand new show featuring characters from the Frozen II and Encanto films! — I decided this was the perfect opportunity to share how much we love attending our local performance every year.
My parents took my sister and I to Disney on Ice at Indianapolis’s Market Square Arena (remember the good old days there, Indy people?) when I was a little girl, and today I love to take my daughters to Gainbridge Fieldhouse. The team behind the ice show does an incredible job of injecting Disney magic into every city they visit.
With Disney Store locations closing in droves over the past couple of years, this is the best way to experience a big dose of Mickey & Co. in your own city.
Although the photo above is blurry (it was taken from a video), you can see how much fun my daughters have watching the show year after year. This year, we saw “Find Your Hero,” which is perfect for all families but especially for those with Disney Princess fans.
Featuring musical selections and characters like Moana and Maui (Moana), Belle, Beast, and Gaston (Beauty and the Beast), Ariel, Eric, Flounder, and Sebastian (The Little Mermaid), and Anna, Elsa, and Olaf (Frozen), we reveled in every moment of this Disney on Ice production!
In addition to the show itself being perennially spectacular, my girls are always big fans of the exclusive merchandise that is available at Disney on Ice events.
Even if you visit Walt Disney World Resort or Disneyland Resort on a regular basis, you’ll find unique souvenirs you can’t get anywhere else. In fact, I still have vintage Disney on Ice memorabilia from the ’90s that my daughters still use today!
As I mentioned, the calendar for Disney on Ice performances well into next year has been released. You can check it out here to find out when all of your favorite Disney characters are coming to your neck of the woods.
Disney on Ice currently has five shows criss-crossing the country:
- Find Your Hero
- Into the Magic
- Frozen & Encanto
- Mickey’s Search Party
- Disney on Ice
Do you and your family attend Disney on Ice annually?
P.S. As always, I love to hear from you on Instagram!
